Watch – Sam Billings Imitates Delhi Capitals Teammate Prithvi Shaw

Delhi Capitals cricketer Sam Billings was recently spotted imitating his teammate Prithvi Shaw in a video shared by the franchise. Meanwhile, both cricketers are currently busy with their international commitments in the five-match Test series between India and England.

As we inch closer to the second phase of IPL 2021, the franchise shared a behind-the-shoot video where Sam Billing could be seen playing an array of shots. In between the shots, the English wicket-keeper batsman also mimicked Prithvi Shaw’s straight drive. “Prithvi Shaw,” Billings said while playing the shot.

“@sambillings’ got range on and off the field 😉💙 P.S. How would you rate that @prithvishaw impression? 😁 #YehHaiNayiDilli #IPL2021,” Delhi Capitals captioned the post.

Delhi Capitals receive Shreyas Iyer boost ahead of UAE leg of IPL 2021

Regular captain Shreyas Iyer, who missed the first half of IPL 2021 owing to a dislocated shoulder has been declared fit to feature in the competition. It will come as a massive boost for Delhi Capitals as Iyer’s return is expected to strengthen their middle-order.

The middle-order batsman landed in the UAE a couple of weeks earlier, to begin his preparations. He has looked in rhythm in the nets and will look to make a case for himself ahead of ICC T20 World Cup, slated in the UAE and Oman, starting October 17.

Meanwhile, despite Shreyas Iyer’s return, Rishabh Pant is likely to continue as Delhi captain. Incidentally, Pant was handed over the reins after Iyer was ruled out of IPL 2021. The India international did an excellent in his first stint ever as Delhi Capitals sit on the top with 12 points from eight matches.

“While it is great news that Shreyas Iyer is fit again and ready to get back to action, it is understood that the DC management want to give him more time to recover. As a result, Pant will continue as captain, but only for the second half of IPL 2021,” a report in Sportskeeda confirmed.

Delhi Capitals will begin their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on September 23 in Dubai.
