In the Indian Premier League, Sam Curran is a cricket player for Punjab Kings. Curran claimed a wicket during a recent encounter between the Rajasthan Royals and the Punjab Kings at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Sam Curran clean-bowled Yashasvi Jaiswal in the contest.

RR is on a three-match losing streak and hopes to win today to get back on track before the playoffs, despite being eligible for the IPL playoffs. Before dropping their next three games, they had won eight of their previous nine. The first-ever IPL champions will also want to start the postseason on a high note.

Conversely, PBKS has already been eliminated from the tournament and only has pride to lose. The team from Punjab would want to finish the competition with a victory.

Sam Curran dismisses Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal stepped out to open the innings with Tom Kohler-Cadmore, as Jos Buttler was travelling back home to get ready for the forthcoming Twenty20 International Series against Pakistan and the Twenty20 World Cup. Sanju Samson, the captain of the Royals, won the toss and chose to bat first, therefore, it fell to the left-handed batsman to get the team off to a strong start.

Yashasvi Jaiswal made a good start to the game by hitting the opening ball for a four. But Sam Curran responded magnificently, taking out the Royals opener after just three balls to give his side the early lead.

The PBKS skipper, Sam Curran came in at the last second with a length ball. After trying to drive the ball, Yashasvi Jaiswal ended up inside, edging it to the stumps. Curran went on an aggressive celebratory run after scooping up the wicket.
