[WATCH] Sandeep Sharma Removes Marcus Stoinis With A Stunner In The LSG vs RR IPL 2024 Match

KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) clash with Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals in match number 44 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday. The former IPL champions RR are in fine form this season, winning seven out of eight matches, making them a tough opponent for LSG. However, LSG are also impressive, currently holding fourth place with five wins out of eight games.

During the IPL 2024 match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, LSG all-rounder Marcus Stoinis fell victim to a brilliant delivery from RR pacer Sandeep Sharma and was dismissed for a duck. Sandeep delivered an exceptional inswinger on a good length, completely deceiving Stoinis. Stoinis’ facial expressions upon being clean bowled reflected his admiration for the delivery’s quality.

The following delivery also finds the ropes, adding to de Kock’s early runs. However, Boult’s precision bowling led to de Kock’s downfall on the third delivery, with the off stump sent cartwheeling. Marcus Stoinis is dismissed by an inswinging delivery, failing to connect with the ball.

KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda strengthen LSG’s batting performance

RR made an impressive start with Trent Boult dismissing Quinton de Kock despite conceding a couple of boundaries in the first over. Stoinis’ dismissal further strengthened the Royals’ position, requiring resilience from the hosts.

Skipper KL Rahul was then joined by Deepak Hooda, who together began to reverse the pressure onto the RR bowlers. The partnership of 115 runs between Hooda and Rahul has placed Lucknow in a strong position, despite Hooda departing for 50 off 31 balls.

Nicholas Pooran has just entered the crease, and with Rahul on 60*, Lucknow has a solid foundation to push towards surpassing the 200-run mark. Breaking the partnership between Rahul and Pooran will be crucial for the Royals to regain control in the first innings.
