Team India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson shared a heartwarming gesture for a fan after the second ODI against Zimbabwe on Saturday at the Harare Sports Club. India, meanwhile, won the first two ODIs to wrap up the three-match ODI series with one match to go.
Chasing 162 runs, Sanju Samson starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 43 off 39 balls, including three boundaries and four sixes. Shikhar Dhawan (33), Shubman Gill (33) and Deepak Hooda (25) also made significant contributions as they chase down the target in just 25.4 overs.
After the game, ‘Player of the Match’ Samson was seen spending quality time with fans. In a video posted by journalist Vimal Kumar on his YouTube channel, Sanju Samson was seen taking selfies and giving autographs to fans.
The security measures are relaxed in Zimbabwe and that has made cricketers like Samson more accessible to fans. In the video, the fans spoke about how they felt that a famous cricketer like Samson was humble enough to spend time with them. This shows that the stylish batter has won hearts both on and off the field.

“Really enjoying keeping and batting” – Sanju Samson after 2nd ODI
Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Sanju Samson rued missing a stumping opportunity despite having a good day in business.
“How much ever time you spend in the middle, it makes you feel good. Even more special to do it for the country. I did take three catches, but I missed a stumping. Really enjoying keeping and batting. I think they (Indian bowlers) were bowling really good areas, a lot of balls came nicely to me,” Sanju Samson said.
