[WATCH]- Shah Rukh Khan Embraces And Kisses Sourav Ganguly After KKR vs DC Match

On Monday, April 29, Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), reunited with ex-India captain Sourav Ganguly. Ganguly, a standout player for KKR during the inaugural IPL season in 2008 and their inaugural captain, now holds the position of Director of Cricket for Delhi Capitals (DC).

In the ongoing IPL, KKR and DC faced off at Eden Gardens on Monday, with the Kolkata team emerging victorious with a seven-wicket win. Shah Rukh Khan, displaying his fondness for Ganguly, embraced and kissed him after the match.

Kolkata stands second on the IPL 2024 leaderboard with six victories out of nine matches and a net run rate of 1.096. Meanwhile, Delhi, having won five out of their initial 11 games, hold the sixth position with a net run rate of -0.442.

KKR successfully pursued DC’s target of 154 runs within 16.3 overs

Delhi won the coin toss and chose to bat initially. However, they continuously lost wickets at consistent intervals, resulting in their inability to post a commanding total. Kuldeep Yadav rescued Delhi with an undefeated 35-run innings at number nine, helping the team reach a total of 153/9 after 20 overs.

Varun Chakravarthy stood out among Kolkata’s bowlers, conceding only 16 runs and taking three wickets in his four overs. Meanwhile, KKR opener Phil Salt extended his excellent form at Eden Gardens, notching up a splendid half-century. The aggressive batsman was the highest scorer of the game, amassing 68 runs off 33 deliveries.

Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer also made valuable contributions, staying not out on 33 and 26 runs, respectively. Kolkata completed the chase in only 16.3 overs, securing a convincing seven-wicket victory.

Their next match is scheduled for Friday, May 3, against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium.
