Domestic and IPL cricket keeps us ready: Shikhar Dhawan
Indian skipper Shikhar Dhawan was a proud leader of his team after the first two ODIs against the West Indies. He lauded the team’s performance in the match, and also credited India’s domestic circuit and the Indian Premier League for helping the players get used to playing under pressure situations. Speaking at the post-match presentation, Shikhar Dhawan said,
“I feel it was a great team performance. We made mistakes, we took the challenge and we had self-belief. All the batters were amazing. Axar and Avesh, who got those boundaries, were amazing. Our domestic and IPL cricket keeps us ready as we play in front of big crowds. As Axar said, he’s done it multiple times in IPL. That brings a big stage.”
