[WATCH]: Shikhar Dhawan Shares A Humorous Reel To Amuse His Fans

Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has consistently entertained his Instagram followers with engaging content throughout the past year. He maintained this trend by sharing another amusing reel on Thursday, August 17th.

Dhawan is presently not in contention for a spot in the Indian team across different formats. The rise of young talents like Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan has prompted the selectors to shift their focus away from Dhawan.

Both Gill and Kishan have registered double centuries in ODIs in the last year, making strong arguments to be considered as opening partners for Rohit Sharma in the forthcoming World Cup. Consequently, Shikhar Dhawan is relishing his break from the game while also diligently working on maintaining his fitness in case he receives a call-up from the Indian team.

Recently, he used his Instagram account to post a comical reel featuring Bollywood’s renowned ‘Bad Man’ Gulshan Grover. Dhawan added a caption to the post:

“Who knew being Bad could be so good? Who all loved ‘Bad Man’?

I was a bit shocked: Shikhar Dhawan’s reaction to being left out of the Asian Games

The Indian men’s team is prepared to take part in the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. A youthful squad, captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad, has been announced by selectors for the event. Shikhar Dhawan’s exclusion from the roster left many astonished.

In a conversation with PTI, Dhawan shared comparable feelings to fans regarding his omission from the Asia Games squad, stating:

“When my name was not there (for Asian Games), I was a bit shocked. But then, I was like they have a different thought process, you just have to accept it. Happy that Rutu (Gaikwad) will lead the side. All the young boys are there, I am sure they will do well.”

He added: “I will be ready, of course. That is why I keep myself fit (so whenever I get a chance I am ready). There is always a chance whether it is one percent or 20 percent. I still enjoy training and I still enjoy the game, these are the things in my control. Whatever decision is made, I respect that.”
