Bangladesh and India are currently taking on each other in the second ODI of the three-match series in Dhaka. The hosts are leading the series 1-0 having won the opening game by one wicket as well. They chose to bat first after winning the toss only to find themselves struggling at 69/6 at one stage, including Shakib Al Hasan, courtesy of a stunner by Shikhar Dhawan.
However, it happened in the 17th over when Washington Sundar flighted the ball outside off and the batter went for a slog sweep. However, Shakib Al Hasan got a top edge of the ball. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan, who was fielding in the short third-man region, went to grab it.
However, at the same time, Siraj who was at short fine leg also went towards the ball. Both of them almost collided before the ball went through Dhawan’s hands and ended up getting stuck into his knees as well. Notably, Dhawan managed to grab the ball with his knees before it fell and managed a successful catch as well. With this, Shakib Al Hasan got out after scoring just eight runs off 20 deliveries.
Funny catch by Shikhar Dhawan….

However, Shakib Al Hasan has been going through a lean patch. He looked uncomfortable throughout his outing in the middle with Umran Malik troubling him with an amazing pace. Moreover, the batter was hit on the helmet on several occasions with India’s pace bowlers breathing fire. While Umran failed to remove him, Sundar ended up dismissing him with Shakib Al Hasan looking frustrated as well.
