Former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan tied the knot with his partner Sophie Shine in a grand ceremony held in Delhi NCR on Saturday, February 21. The couple had been in a relationship for some time and have now embarked on a new phase of their lives together. The wedding was hosted in an elegant setting that perfectly complemented their attire.

Dhawan opted for a monochrome sherwani featuring a white-on-white theme with subtle tonal embroidery, while Sophie looked stunning in a modern lehenga choli. The pair were seen exchanging garlands, a traditional Indian wedding ritual symbolizing mutual acceptance as life partners.

Following the ritual, they held hands and shared a kiss before greeting their guests with a respectful ‘namaste’ gesture at the intimate ceremony. The moment was capped off with fireworks lighting up the sky as celebrations unfolded. You can watch the video here:

Shikhar Dhawan also shared glimpses from the wedding on his Instagram account. In the pictures he posted, the couple were seen dancing at the ceremony and celebrating the occasion with joy.

Shikhar Dhawan and Sophie Shine had been in a relationship for over a year and got engaged earlier in January 2026. Wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who has previously played alongside Dhawan and was present at the wedding, also posted pictures from the ceremony on his social media handles.

Sophie Shine, who is now married to Shikhar Dhawan, was born in Ireland in 1990. She completed her schooling there, attending Castleroy College, before pursuing higher education in marketing and management at the Limerick Institute of Technology. She began her professional journey as a product consultant at a multinational company.

Later, she joined Northern Trust Corporation in Abu Dhabi, where she worked as a Vice-President until March 2025. Moving into the field of sports philanthropy, Sophie went on to become the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Dhawan’s conglomerate, Da One Sports.

She currently also leads the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation, where she plays a key role in overseeing its operations.
