South African batter Tazmin Brits pulled off a stunning catch in the 2023 T20 Women’s World Cup semi-final against England on Friday, February 24 in Newlands, Cape Town. They eventually registered a historic win by six runs to advance to the final of the mega-event. Tazmin’s catch was one of the highlights of their win.

In the sixth over, Shabmin Ismail bowled a short delivery to Alice Capsey, who played the pull shot. However, she mistimed the shot. The ball seemed to be landing safely, but Tazmin Brits came running to her right. She dived to perfection and took a stunning one-handed catch, just inches above the ground. Her effort lifted the whole South African team. Alice Capsey had to wack back disappointed for a duck in the innings.
