Team India pacer Arshdeep Singh shared a light-hearted shopping story during the ongoing Test series against England. With four matches completed, the fifth and final Test is set to begin on Thursday, July 31, at The Oval. In a video on his YouTube channel, Arshdeep recalled going shopping with teammate Dhruv Jurel.
He humorously mentioned coming across a t-shirt priced at ₹3 lakhs, after which they promptly exited the store without making a purchase.
“Today we are doing gentleman shopping. First, we took a shirt. Which one was it? Polo from Ralph Lauren. We have taken a few shirts and pants. There was a t-shirt for 3 lakhs. Why? We just stayed there for 17 seconds, saw the rate, and left,” he said. (2:13)

He also mentioned asking Dhruv Jurel about a stylish shirt the wicketkeeper-batter had considered but didn’t purchase.
“We got a solid shirt. There was light pink and light white in it. Why did you not take it?” he asked.
“It was 50,000. Who would take it? If you want to shop for 50,000, buy shoes, a wallet that is of use. This one shirt will stay for 2-3 days, that’s all,” Jurel replied.
Will Arshdeep Singh Feature In India’s Playing XI For The Oval Test?
Arshdeep Singh has not featured in any Test during the ongoing series. He wasn’t included in the playing XI for the first two matches and later suffered a bowling hand injury that ruled him out of the next two games. However, India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir has confirmed that all fast bowlers are fit and available for the fifth Test.
“All the fast bowlers are fit. There are no injury concerns,” he said. (via ESPN Cricinfo)
Jasprit Bumrah’s pace dipped in the fourth Test, and with reports suggesting he’d play only three matches, his availability for the final game is uncertain. If he’s rested, India may bring in fresh legs, with Arshdeep Singh a possible debutant. His left-arm pace could add variety to the bowling attack.
