Team India arrived in Indore on Friday, January 12 ahead of the second T20I against Afghanistan that is set to take place on Sunday, January 14 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium. They won the first match comfortably by six wickets going one up in the three-match T20I series.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video from India’s travel to Indore from Mohali. The players seemed in a good mood following a convincing win in the first game. They also shared their favourite part of coming to Indore in the video. Kuldeep Yadav expressed that he has a lot of cricketing memories of Indore. He said, “I have a lot of cricketing memories from Indore as I started playing here. Sarafa market has a lot of good food.”

Sharing their favourite part about Indore, many players said food, especially Poha. Sanju Samson said, “People from Indore are very funny, they crack jokes naturally. One of them is in our team, Avesh Khan. He just talks and we all laugh. I am looking forward to a very good laughter time with Avesh in Indore.”

Virat Kohli to join India for remaining two T20Is

Team India batter Virat Kohli is set to join the team for the second T20I against Afghanistan at Indore. He missed the first game due to personal reasons. The second T20I will mark his return to India’s T20I set-up. He has played a T20I in the 2022 T20 World Cup semi-final against England, which India lost. The veteran batter will be looking to make an impact in the upcoming game, with the 2024 T20 World Cup around the corner.
