[WATCH]- Team India Stars Drop Fun Rap For Captain Harmanpreet Kaur Following 2025 World Cup Triumph

After India’s historic Women’s World Cup 2025 victory, stars Jemimah Rodrigues and Harleen Deol created a fun rap for captain Harmanpreet Kaur. The Women in Blue defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the final on Sunday, November 2. Batting first, India scored a strong 298/7 in their 50 overs and then bowled out South Africa for 246 in 45.3 overs to seal the win.

Following this triumph, Jamimah Rodrigues and Harleen Deol dedicated an entertaining rap to their skipper during the flight. The rap’s lyrics went:

“Naam ke piche Kaur hain log kehte isse Thor hai, Punjabiyon ki shaan hai yeh ladki shaktimaan hai. Maarti jab yeh six, jagah karti dilo mein fix, public machati shor hai jab maarti Harry four. Na deti kabhi gaali yeh sau match khelne wali. Poora karna sapna hai World Cup ab toh apna hi hai. Kyunki, naam pe piche Kaur hai log kehte isse Thor hai.”

This marked India’s first ICC trophy in women’s cricket. The team had previously reached two ODI World Cup finals but were defeated in both 2005 and 2017.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s Performance At The 2025 Women’s World Cup

Harmanpreet Kaur may not have had her most prolific tournament with the bat, but she played crucial roles for India in the Women’s World Cup 2025. She scored 260 runs in eight innings at an average of 32.50, including two half-centuries. One of her notable innings came against England, where she scored 70 off 70 balls, hitting 10 fours.

Her standout performance was in the semifinal against Australia, chasing a massive target of 338. She contributed a vital 89 runs off 88 balls, including 10 fours and two sixes, helping India achieve a record chase and eventually win the final.

This victory marked Harmanpreet’s first major trophy as captain of the Indian Women’s team. With this accomplishment, she became one of only three Indian captains—alongside Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni—to win the ODI World Cup in either Men’s or Women’s cricket.
