[WATCH]- Tollywood Star Honours Tilak Varma For Asia Cup Final Heroics Ahead Of AUS vs IND 2025 Series

Tollywood icon Chiranjeevi welcomed Indian cricketer Tilak Varma on the sets of his upcoming film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. He applauded Tilak’s standout performance in the Asia Cup 2025 final and personally felicitated the young star. Chiranjeevi greeted him warmly, and the two shared a handshake before having a brief conversation.

Tilak also interacted with actress Nayanthara, director Anil Ravipudi, and producers Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela during his visit. To mark the occasion, a cake reading “India’s Pride Tilak Varma”was cut in his honour. He was presented with a garland, bouquet, and a shawl as part of the felicitation.

Tilak cut the cake and was fed a piece by Chiranjeevi, followed by others on set. He later posed for photos with Chiranjeevi, the crew members, and the entire film team, making it a memorable celebration. You can watch the video here:

Tilak Varma was named ‘Player of the Match’ in the Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan, delivering a brilliant match-winning performance under pressure. The left-handed batter scored an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls, including three fours and four sixes, helping India secure a five-wicket victory.

Tilak Varma Included In India’s T20I Squad For Australia Series

Tilak Varma has been selected in India’s squad for the upcoming T20I series in Australia, where the Men in Blue will play five matches starting Wednesday, October 29. He showcased excellent form in the Asia Cup 2025, finishing as India’s second-highest run-scorer with 213 runs from six innings at an average of 71 and a strike rate of 131.48, playing a key role in the team’s victory.

The 22-year-old made his T20I debut against the West Indies in 2023, and this series will mark his first tour to Australia. So far, he has featured in 32 T20Is, scoring 962 runs from 30 innings at an average of 53.44 with a strike rate of 149.14. In his short career, he has already notched two centuries, including a highest score of 120*, along with four half-centuries.

Tilak will be eager to make the most of this opportunity and further strengthen his position in the T20I squad.
