Carlos Brathwaite, who was upset after being dismissed during a T10 league match, smashed his helmet and threw his bat. The West Indies all-rounder, who has not been performing well lately, only managed to score 7 runs from 5 balls. New York Strikers won despite Brathwaite’s poor performance with the bat.
It is known that Carlos Brathwaite remains one of the most composed players during the game. Very rarely has he gone mad on the pitch and often enjoys playing with team mates. But in T10 league, fans got a chance to witness another side of him; angry and frustrated.
An angry Brathwaite took off his helmet and smashed it outside play area before throwing away his bat while entering the dug out. Such kind of behaviour by him has shocked cricket fans since they have never seen him behave like this before.
He was quite irritated with umpire’s ruling as an out-of-favor all-rounder of West Indies. According to on-field umpire calls Brathwaite bowled by Josh Little had been caught behind him. This decision was not amusing for Brathwaite; he stood there for some seconds wondering what just happened.

Carlos Brathwaite became frustrated during the T10 league
He smashed his own helmet on his equipment and vented out all of his anger against the gear. The third delivery of the ninth over saw him leave for 7 runs off 5 balls. Strikers from New York crossed the 100 mark and finished with a total score of 104/8.
Mitchell Owen was the top scorer for the Strikers, hitting 22 runs off 10 balls. Thisara Perera also contributed with 16 off 7 balls. Two wicket-takers each were Little, Sikandar Raza, and Jake Lintott. The total of 104 proved sufficient as Strikers defeated Grand Cayman Jaguars by 8 runs.
Alex Hales, a former England opener stayed not out on 35 at the end of 24 balls for the Jaguars but it was not enough. There went no sixes in his innings too. Captain Sikandar Raza also made an important 27 from 16 balls.
Ansh Patel was outstanding with his bowling for the Strikers. He only gave away 8 runs and took two wickets in two overs. For this performance he was named Player of the Match. Owen claimed one wicket while giving away 19 runs.
