[WATCH]- UP Artist Paints 6ft Artwork Of Rohit Sharma Lifting Trophy

An artist from Uttar Pradesh has created a 6ft-long wall painting of India captain Rohit Sharma lifting the 2025 Champions Trophy ahead of the final against New Zealand. The highly anticipated match is set to take place today (Sunday, March 9) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

This will be the second time India and New Zealand face off in an ICC ODI tournament final. Their last meeting in such a scenario was in the 2000 Champions Trophy final, where New Zealand defeated India by four wickets to claim their first ICC title.

India, however, will aim to take inspiration from their group-stage victory over the Kiwis, where they secured a 44-run win. Ahead of this crucial clash, UP artist Zuhaib Khan crafted an impressive 6ft-long wall painting depicting Rohit Sharma lifting the coveted trophy.

Sharing his thoughts on the painting, the artist expressed his hope that it would turn into reality with India emerging as the champions. Speaking to ANI, he stated:

“I am an artist and I make wall paintings, since it is the final match of India vs New Zealand today, I have made a 6 feet long wall painting of captain Rohit Sharma lifting the trophy. I hope my dream comes true.”

Rohit Sharma aims to become India’s second captain to win multiple ICC trophies

Ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy final, Rohit Sharma has already set a record as the only Indian captain to lead his team to the final of four different ICC tournaments— the ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup, World Test Championship (WTC), and Champions Trophy.

A victory in the final would make Rohit only the second Indian captain to win multiple ICC titles, having already secured the 2024 T20 World Cup. MS Dhoni remains the most successful Indian captain in ICC events, winning three trophies: the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy.

Kapil Dev led India to their historic 1983 World Cup triumph, while under Sourav Ganguly, India shared the 2002 Champions Trophy with Sri Lanka after the final was washed out.
