Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old opener for India Under-19 and Rajasthan Royals, was recently spotted practising with a GoPro camera attached to his helmet as part of a promotional shoot. In a clip shared by the franchise on X (formerly Twitter), Suryavanshi unleashed a powerful straight drive that narrowly missed crew members positioned behind the stumps at the non-striker’s end.

The young left-hander was heard apologizing immediately after playing the forceful shot.

“Sorry, sorry,” Suryavanshi could be heard saying in the video.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivered a stellar performance with the bat during the recently concluded India Under-19 tour of England, amassing 355 runs in five Youth ODIs at an impressive average of 71.

His standout moment came in the fourth match at Northampton, where he set a new record for the fastest century in Youth ODIs, reaching the milestone in just 52 balls at Worcester. However, his red-ball form didn’t match his white-ball brilliance, as he managed only 90 runs across the two Youth Tests.

Suryavanshi Earns U-19 Australia Tour Call-Up

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s strong showing during the England tour has earned him a place in the Indian Under-19 squad for the upcoming Australia tour in September 2025. The left-handed batter is among several players from the England series to be retained for the trip Down Under.

Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre will continue to captain the side. The tour begins with a three-match ODI series from September 21, followed by two multi-day games — the first from September 30 to October 3 at Norths, and the second in Mackay from October 7 to 10.
