India star Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma, were visibly emotional during their interaction with spiritual guru Premanand Ji Maharaj on Tuesday, December 16. The couple had earlier been seen at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Sunday, December 14.

Two days later, on December 16, Kohli and Anushka visited Premanand Ji Maharaj in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, where they were observed attentively listening to his spiritual discourse. You can watch the video here:

On the cricketing side, the Delhi-born batter last featured in the three-match ODI series against South Africa, which ended on December 6. India won the series 2-1 under the captaincy of KL Rahul, with Kohli earning the Player of the Series award.

The right-hander piled up 302 runs in three innings at a stunning average of 151.00 and a strike rate of 117.05. His run haul included two hundreds and one fifty, with his highest score being a brilliant 135 off 120 balls in the opening ODI at Ranchi.

After his outstanding showing in the ODI series against South Africa, Virat Kohli surged to second place in the ICC Men’s ODI batting rankings with 773 rating points. His teammate and former India skipper Rohit Sharma remains at the top of the list with 781 points.

Since making his international debut in 2008, Kohli has played 308 ODIs, scoring 14,557 runs in 296 innings at an excellent average of 58.46 and a strike rate of 93.65. His remarkable record features 76 fifties and a record-breaking 53 hundreds.

Kohli’s next international outing will be a three-match home ODI series against New Zealand, starting on Sunday, January 11, in Vadodara. The second match is scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, in Rajkot, with the final ODI set to be played on Sunday, January 18, in Indore.
