[WATCH]: Virat Kohli And Rohit Sharma Showcased Their Batting Abilities In The Nets Of India’s Final Session In Barbados

India’s national cricket team concluded their practice sessions in Barbados ahead of their upcoming Test series against the West Indies.

In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the key players, including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, can be seen honing their skills during the net session on July 7.

The team is set to compete in two Tests starting from July 12

The footage captures the players engaging in stretching exercises before proceeding to the nets.

Notable batters such as Kohli, Rohit, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin are seen showcasing their batting prowess.

Rahul Dravid attentively observes the bowling practice of Ashwin, Jadeja, Jaydev Unadkat, and Mohammed Siraj.

The video concludes with a glimpse of a catching drill and a thumbs-up from Axar Patel.

The first Test will take place at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Dominica, followed by the second Test at Trinidad’s Queen’s Park Oval.

Recently, the team participated in a two-day practice match, where Jaiswal and Axar performed well in the first innings with scores of 54 and 35, respectively.

Rohit retired after scoring 24 (67), while Unadkat dismissed Kohli early on for 3 (12).

The team declared at 191, and in response, Ashwin’s side scored 239, with two local West Indies cricketers leading the scoring, accompanied by Jadeja’s 38 and Shardul Thakur’s 29.

Kohli has played nine Tests in the West Indies, accumulating 463 runs, including a double-century and two half-centuries, at an average of 35.62.

During India’s previous visit in 2019, Kohli scored a half-century in each of the two Tests: 51 (113) and 76 (163).

Rohit did not participate in the 2019 series but played two Tests in the West Indies during the 2016 tour, prior to his emergence as a Test opener.

In the first Test, he batted in the middle order, scoring 9 (23) and 41 (59), but did not have an opportunity to bat in the second Test.
