Veteran batter Virat Kohli had a disappointing outing in the third and final T20I against Afghanistan on Wednesday, January 17 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. He was dismissed for a golden duck in the match by Fareed Ahmad.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first. He opened the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal. The hosts lost Jaiswal early in the innings, bringing Virat Kohli to the crease. However, the veteran cricketer did not trouble the scorers much as he was dismissed for a golden duck.
In the third over of the Indian innings, Virat Kohli tried to go big on his first ball as he tried to slap pull it. However, he managed to scoop it up off the bat as the ball bounced on him. It hit the shoulder of the bat and was caught by Ibrahim Zadran at mid-off. The former Indian skipper walked back to the pavilion disappointed.
