[Watch] Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s Stunning Catch To Dismiss Shivam Dube

Afghanistan wicket-keeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz pulled off a stunning effort during the third and final T20I against Afghanistan on Wednesday, January 17 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. His screamer ensured Shivam Dube failed to display his magic in the match.

Batting first, India was in a spot of trouble when they were reduced to 18 for the loss of two wickets. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli were back in the hut. Shivam Dube, who has been India’s top performer in the series so far, was expected to make an impact once again. However, the batter couldn’t score many as he was dismissed for a solitary run.

In the fourth over, Azmatullah Omarzai bowled a straight-up delivery which curled back into Shivam Dube. The left-handed batter pushed at the delivery, with no foot movement. The ball took the edge of Shivam Dube’s bat and flew to the wicket-keeper. Rahmanullah Gurbaz dived to his left to take an excellent catch.

The Indian skipper slammed a century, scoring 121 runs in 69 deliveries, with eleven boundaries and eight sixes. Rinku Singh also scored an unbeaten 69 with two boundaries and six sixes.

Shivam Dube’s impressive performance in the T20I series

Team India all-rounder Shivam Dube has been impressive in the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. He is one of India’s top performers in the series with the bat. Shivam Dube slammed an unbeaten 60 in the first T20I at Mohali to power India to a six-wicket win. He won the Player of the Match award for his performance.

The power-hitter followed it up with another fifty in the second T20I at Indore. Shivam Dube slammed 63 runs off 32 deliveries, with five boundaries and four sixes. He was unbeaten in the match as India won the match by six wickets. The all-rounder has also taken two wickets in as many innings in the series so far.
