Star Batter Virat Kohli is currently playing his 100th test match for Team India, at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. On day 1 of the IND vs SL game, an incident happened that reminded the fans of ‘Young Virat Kohli’. Kohli gave Sri Lankan pacer Suranga Lakmal a deadly stare during the match.
Virat Kohli walked in to bat at no.4 after opener Mayank Agarwal’s dismissal. The crowd at Mohali, gave a standing ovation to Kohli as he made his way to the middle. During his innings on Friday, the 33-year old looked in magnificent touch and produced some stunning shots.

Virat Kohli Scores 45 runs in the first innings of his 100th Test
Just as Virat Kohli appeared to be on his way to finally end the century drought, left-arm spinner Lasith Embuldeniya produced a beauty that rattled Kohli’s stumps. Embuldeniya bowled a flighted delivery that pitched on the middle stump line and spun away from Kohli.
Kohli tried to defend the ball from the back foot, but it beat the outside edge and crashed his off-stump. The length from the bowler was just about perfect as the ball landed neither too short nor too full.
Kohli looked really upset after the dismissal and skipper Rohit Sharma, also, in the dressing room, was seen holding his head in disappointment. Kohli ended his innings at 45 runs off 76 balls, which included 5 boundaries.
On November 22 2019, Kohli smashed his 70th international hundred when he played a 136-run knock against Bangladesh in the day-night Test at Eden Gardens. That was the last time Kohli scored in the triple digits, and the quest for another century has continued since then.
