Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli was recently spotted giving a massage to teammate Glenn Maxwell during their game against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Incidentally, RCB prevailed in the thrilling contest and haded Sanju Samson and Co their first defeat of the season.

The game went down to the wire after Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik revived Bangalore after they were five down for 87 runs in pursuit of 170 runs. While Shahbaz and Karthik were belting fours and sixes, the entire RCB squad was feeling the pressure in the dressing room.

A clinical Dinesh Karthik began the 15th over in style, hitting a boundary of the first ball. He followed it up with another cracking boundary that lift up the entire team. Virat Kohli, who was standing in the dressing room, gave Glenn Maxwell a couple of punches on his shoulder.

Maxwell saw this as a massage and asked the former Indian captain to continue and Virat Kohli gleefully obliged. The video has gone viral on social media with fans lauding the kindness of the talismanic batter.

Speaking of the game, Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik forged a 67-run stand for the sixth wicket to set up the run chase. Although Shahbaz got out after a well made 45, Karthik ensured Bangalore go over the line with five balls to spare. Harshal Patel launched a big hit off the first ball of the 20th over to see the team through.

With this victory, Bangalore now have four points in three games. Rajasthan, on the other hand, are still at the top of the points table by virtue of a better run rate.
