Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli was surrounded by fans at Delhi airport ahead of their IPL 2025 match against Delhi Capitals (DC). The two teams will meet in the 46th match of the tournament on Sunday, April 27, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

When the RCB team arrived at the airport, local favorite Virat Kohli was met by a crowd of fans who cheered for him and recorded the moment on their phones. You can watch the video here:

The 36-year-old has been in superb form this season, amassing 392 runs in nine innings at an average of 65.33 and a strike rate of 144.11. He has also scored five half-centuries, with his highest score being an unbeaten 73.

Looking ahead to his next match, Kohli has played 30 games against Delhi, scoring 1079 runs in 29 innings at an average of 49.05, including 10 half-centuries. At the Arun Jaitley Stadium, he has featured in 10 matches, scoring 483 runs in the same number of innings at an impressive average of 69.00, with six half-centuries to his name.

DC triumphed over RCB in their IPL 2025 match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium

The 46th match of IPL 2025 between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be a reverse fixture, as the two teams had previously faced off in the 24th match on April 10 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

RCB, after being asked to bat, saw openers Phil Salt (37) and Virat Kohli (22) provide solid starts, but their middle order struggled. Tim David’s quickfire 37* off 20 balls towards the end propelled RCB to a total of 163/7 in their 20 overs. In response, DC found themselves in a difficult position at 58/4.

KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs took charge of the chase, putting together an unbeaten 111-run partnership off 55 balls for the fifth wicket. Their effort helped Delhi Capitals win comfortably by six wickets with 13 balls to spare. Rahul remained not out on 93 from 53 balls, while Stubbs was unbeaten on 38 from 23 balls.
