Star Indian batter Virat Kohli shared friendly moments with South African players at the team hotel ahead of the third ODI between India and South Africa in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, December 6. Kohli was spotted meeting South African legend Dale Steyn and wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock in the hotel’s dining area.
He greeted Steyn with a handshake followed by a warm hug and back pats, displaying a joyful smile. The two share a strong bond, having played together for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL. Kohli later met Quinton de Kock in a similar warm exchange, shaking hands, sharing a hug, and patting each other on the back.

Virat Kohli was seen sporting a casual denim shirt paired with black pants and a cap, holding a water bottle. He seemed cheerful and in high spirits while interacting with the South African players.

Virat Kohli has been in brilliant form in the ongoing ODI series, scoring back-to-back centuries in the first two matches at Ranchi and Raipur. In the opening game at Ranchi, he played a sensational knock of 135 off just 120 balls, including 11 fours and seven sixes, at a strike rate of 112.5.
In the second match, he followed it up with 102 off 93 balls, hitting seven boundaries and two sixes at a strike rate of 109.68. Kohli will be keen to carry his remarkable form into the third ODI and aim for a hat-trick of centuries. His record in ODIs at Visakhapatnam is phenomenal.
In seven matches at the venue, he has scored 587 runs at an astonishing average of 97.83, maintaining a strike rate of 100.34. He has scored three hundreds and two fifties in these games, showcasing consistent dominance.
His highest score at Visakhapatnam came against the West Indies in 2018, when he remained unbeaten on 157, demonstrating his class and ability to excel at the ground.
