Apart from the run out of Tim David which made headlines, Virat Kohli caught a blinder in the last over which helped India win the warm-up game against Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane on Monday, October 17.
In the 20th over, Australia required 11 runs to win this warm-up game. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma handed the ball to Mohammed Shami, who hasn’t bowled in the game before.
The first two balls saw Pat Cummins collect four runs. The third ball which was a low full toss by Mohammad Shami was well-connected by Cummins, but Virat Kohli timed his jump to perfection to catch a one-handed stunner at the boundary.Ā
The effort left everyone in shock, including the Australian camp who had a clear view of the catch.
