[WATCH]- Xavier Bartlett Takes A Stunning Catch To Dismiss Axar Patel In 3rd T20I Vs India

Australia delivered another timely breakthrough, this time courtesy of Nathan Ellis, who shifted the momentum with a fiery short delivery that caught Axar Patel off guard. Chasing 186 for victory in the third T20I of the ongoing five-match series at Bellerive Oval in Hobart, India lost a key wicket just when a partnership was building.

Clocking close to 140 km/h, Ellis bowled a sharp bouncer that rose steeply toward Axar Patel’s helmet. Attempting a pull shot, the Indian all-rounder was hurried by the pace, causing the ball to take the edge of his bat and soar high into the air.

Xavier Bartlett then produced a moment of sheer brilliance in the field. Sprinting in from the deep, the Australian fielder dived full length just inches above the turf to complete a spectacular catch. The crowd erupted in applause as Ellis celebrated the dismissal, breaking a promising stand between Axar Patel and Tilak Varma.

Ellis’s precise delivery combined with Bartlett’s outstanding athleticism swung the momentum firmly back in Australia’s favor. Axar Patel departed after a brisk 17 off 12 balls in Hobart, leaving India under pressure. His dismissal halted India’s momentum, as the visitors were left needing 58 runs from 39 deliveries with six wickets remaining.

Tilak Varma Dismissed By Xavier Bartlett In 3rd T20I

After pulling off a stunning catch earlier, Xavier Bartlett continued to make an impact with the ball, striking at a crucial moment to dismiss Tilak Varma and pile pressure on India’s lower order during the chase. Tilak attempted to scoop a full delivery from Bartlett, but the ball climbed a bit higher than anticipated.

Instead of clearing the infield, it caught the upper edge of his bat and went straight up in the air. Josh Inglis, positioned behind the stumps, tracked it carefully and completed a composed catch, handing Australia another key wicket.

Tilak’s knock of 29 off 26 balls, featuring one four and one six, ended just when India needed stability. Despite his dismissal, the Men in Blue held their nerve to seal a thrilling five-wicket victory over Australia in Hobart, leveling the five-match T20I series 1-1.
