[WATCH] Zeeshan Ansari Sends Off Ishan Kishan In Style During SRH Practice Clash Before IPL 2026
Zeeshan Ansari

SunRisers Hyderabad leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari produced a fiery moment after dismissing Ishan Kishan in a practice game ahead of IPL 2026. Notably, Ansari had earlier played under Kishan’s captaincy in the 2016 Under-19 World Cup for India.

Interestingly, the leg-spinner is set to once again feature under Kishan’s leadership for a few matches this season. Regular SRH captain Pat Cummins is expected to miss the opening phase due to fitness concerns, leading the management to appoint Ishan as the stand-in skipper.

In one of SRH’s recent practice sessions, Kishan went on the attack, hitting Ansari for 6, 4, 4, and 6 in a single over. However, the bowler had the last laugh by dismissing him on the very next delivery. Following the wicket, Ansari shared a playful moment with Kishan, gesturing him back to the pavilion, while the batter walked off smiling.

“Future Intent Clear” – Aakash Chopra on Ishan Kishan Leading SunRisers Hyderabad

Former cricketer Aakash Chopra recently stated that SunRisers Hyderabad made the right call by naming Ishan Kishan as captain for the early phase of IPL 2026 in the absence of Pat Cummins. He added that the move hints at the franchise’s long-term vision, suggesting they may be looking to have an Indian skipper in the future.

Sharing his views on his YouTube channel, Chopra said:

“Ishan Kishan has been made the captain now, and isn’t this a beautiful story? A guy who was just working hard by keeping his head down, who was only doing his job, that he would play for Jharkhand, score runs, make his team win, and from there, he became a part of the Indian team. Then there were some form issues in the Indian team, things changed, and he came into the XI.”
