A new stadium named Ekana is built in Lucknow which has the much larger capacity and lot better facilities than Green Park. It will be the best cricket stadium in the state of Uttar Pradesh when it gets the clearance from ICC.

Both the teams are expected to land in Kanpur on October 26 at 3 PM. They will have a practice session on October 27 and 28. Team India will practice under lights as well. Following which, teams will play the ODI on October 29. Change in this schedule will be made if deemed necessary.

The Green Park Stadium is known to host some iconic matches. India played their 500th test match at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur against New Zealand in September 2016 and won. Besides that, there have been some epic ODIS and T20Is at this ground as well. Green Park has been home to IPL franchise Gujarat Lions. The Lions have played 2 matches in 2016 and 2017 at this venue. There were reports that Kings XI Punjab might play few matches at Kanpur next season.

The Green Park Stadium is home ground to Suresh Raina, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Praveen Kumar and others. It will be a pretty emotional moment to see an iconic cricket ground hosting its last match.
