Team India responded strongly after disappointing tours of Ireland and England by completing a dominant 3-0 T20I series sweep over Zimbabwe. The visitors sealed the clean sweep with a convincing 35-run victory in the third and final match in Harare on Sunday, July 26.
India began the series with a comfortable seven-wicket win before registering a massive 90-run victory in the second T20I to clinch the series. They then wrapped up the tour with another commanding performance to complete the whitewash.
With the Zimbabwe assignment concluded, India’s next T20I challenge will come in October, when they host the West Indies in a five-match series. The opening match is scheduled to be played on October 6 at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
The action will then move to Ranchi for the second T20I on October 9. The third match is scheduled to be played in Indore, while Hyderabad and Bengaluru will host the fourth and fifth T20Is, respectively. Here’s the complete schedule for the series:

India’s Emerging Stars Power 3-0 Sweep Over Zimbabwe
With the series already secured, India named a strong playing XI for the third and final T20I. Captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bat first. Teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi starred with the bat, smashing a brilliant 81 off 49 deliveries, including eight fours and four sixes, to lay the foundation for India’s total.
Shreyas Iyer (27) and Rinku Singh (25) chipped in with useful cameos to help India post a competitive score. In response, Ryan Burl fought hard with a well-made half-century, but Zimbabwe fell short against a disciplined Indian bowling attack.
Mayank Yadav led the bowling effort with three wickets, while Yash Thakur claimed two. Ashok Sharma and Ravi Bishnoi picked up a wicket each. Suryavanshi was named Player of the Series after finishing with 151 runs in three innings at an average of 50.33 and a strike rate of nearly 200.
