Vivrant Sharma made headlines in the IPL 2023 mini-auction in Kochi on Friday (December 23) when Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for Rs 2.6 crore. However, not many knew about him when his name was announced during the auction as well. However, Vivrant is a young all-rounder from the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
The 24-year-old player is still a rookie in senior cricket and has played only 2 first-class, 14 List A and 9 T20s for his state team as well. However, Vivrant made his first-class debut just a week back in the Ranji Trophy game against Madhya Pradesh as well whereas his List A debut came against Saurashtra in 2021. Moreover, Vivrant played his first T20 against Andhra Pradesh in 2021 as well.

The left-handed batsman has scored 72 runs in 2 Ranji Trophy matches. He has 519 runs and 8 wickets which came in 14 50-over matches. In 9 T20s, he has hit 191 runs and claimed 6 wickets as well. However, his maiden List A century for J&K came for the winning cause on November 23 where Vivrant Sharma remained unbeaten on 154 off just 124 balls and played a key role for his side in the chase as well. J&K completed the chase in 42.2 overs while losing only 1 wicket. However, Vivrant Sharma has joined SRH at a huge price and he will be hoping to use the opportunity if given one as well.
