Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) recently revealed their jersey for IPL 2025, entering the season as defending champions after defeating SunRisers Hyderabad in the 2024 final. However, they will be without their title-winning captain, Shreyas Iyer, who was released before the mega auction.
Ahead of the mega auction last year, the Knight Riders decided to release Shreyas Iyer while retaining key players like Rinku Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Harshit Rana, and Ramandeep Singh. Punjab Kings (PBKS) secured Iyer for a massive ₹26.75 crore and later appointed him as their captain for IPL 2025.
KKR’s new jersey features a third star, representing their championship victories in 2012, 2014, and 2024. Additionally, they have included a Golden Badge to signify their status as the defending champions in IPL 2025.
