WI vs IND: [WATCH] Kyle Mayers Dismisses Suryakumar Yadav With A Direct Hit

In the second T20I against India, West Indies’ Kyle Mayers got a direct hit to dismiss Suryakumar Yadav, who scored one run off three balls at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on August 6.

In the fourth over of India’s innings, Ishan Kishan’s attempt to take a quick single was foiled by Kyle Mayers’ direct hit at the striker’s end. As a result, West Indies reduced India to 18/2 after 3.3 overs.

Watch the dismissal of Suryakumar Yadav in the video below:

In the previous T20I, Mayers dismissed Sanju Samson in a comparable manner through a run-out

Suryakumar Yadav’s struggles in the West Indies tour persisted as he got dismissed. Earlier, he scored 21 runs off 21 balls in the first T20I, where India fell short by four runs. In the preceding three ODIs against the same opponents, he only managed to score 78 runs, with a top score of 35 in the third game. Despite his challenges, India won the series 2-1.

Suryakumar Yadav’s dismissal occurs in an unfortunate manner as India chooses to bat against West Indies. In the second T20I against West Indies, India’s captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bat. They made a change in the playing XI by including leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi in place of the injured Kuldeep Yadav.

WI, leading 1-0 in the five-match series, fielded the same unchanged team.

The West Indies’ playing XI: Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Johnson Charles, Nicholas Pooran (wicketkeeper), Rovman Powell (captain), Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, and Obed McCoy.

India’s playing XI: Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Sanju Samson, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (captain), Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar, and Ravi Bishnoi.
