Indian cricketers, led by Rohit Sharma, had an enjoyable interaction with local fans in Trinidad ahead of the second Test against West Indies. The team, holding a 1-0 lead in the two-match series after a resounding win in Dominica, took time to pose for photos and sign autographs for the fans.

During the friendly exchange, one girl presented an old photograph of Rohit Sharma, captured during India’s tour of West Indies in 2017. Playfully, Rohit remarked, “Too much beard” upon seeing the picture.

On the cricketing front, Rohit Sharma’s stellar performance in the first Test propelled him back into the top 10 batters list of the ICC men’s Test player rankings. Scoring his 10th Test century, he climbed three places to secure the 10th spot on the list with 751 rating points, making him the highest-ranked Indian batter.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant slipped to the 11th position with 750 points, and Virat Kohli maintained his 14th spot with 711 points. The first Test against West Indies also saw a remarkable debut by Yashasvi Jaiswal, the 21-year-old cricketer who made a stunning 171 runs off 387 deliveries.

His impressive performance earned him a place on the batters list for the first time, securing the 73rd position with 420 points.  Jaiswal’s innings not only marked the highest score by an Indian opener on debut away from home but also became the third-highest score for an Indian opener on debut.

As India gears up for the second Test against West Indies, they have gained momentum with Rohit’s excellent form and the breakthrough performance of Jaiswal. The team is eager to maintain their dominant run and clinch the series.
