Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma’s injury saga has no intentions to rest. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has received a lot of flaks for leaving out Rohit from the squads which are due to tour Australia. But what is the extent of his injury? Will he play again for Mumbai in IPL 2020?
The veteran batsman copped up a hamstring injury and has since then missed all the ties in the ongoing tournament. In the wake of this development, the selection panel headed by Sunil Joshi kept Rohit Sharma out from the Australia tour. However, they stated that they will continue to monitor his injury.

Meanwhile, according to a report filed by news agency ANI, it has been learned that Rohit has been training ‘non-stop’ in order to achieve match fitness. Moreover, he has not missed any training session and is leaving no stones unturned to return to action. However, Rohit Sharma is still far away from attaining match fitness.
“He has been training regularly. The day after the KXIP game was a rest day so there was anyway no training. But whenever the MI unit has trained, he has been there and while he slowly started with working on his leg, he has been hitting the nets now.
In fact, before the last game, he also took throwdowns at the ground. He is clearly making an honest effort to regain full match fitness,” the source told ANI.
