The lockdown during the first wave of COVID-19 was a very big challenge faced by humans. Everybody was advised to stay home and avoid going out, carrying forward their office works from sitting at home using online methods. Also supporting their family in these tough times while staying at home.
As going out was not an option many cricketers decided to groom themselves at home with the help of their partners. Anushka Sharma turned hairstylist for Indian Captain Virat Kohli. Similarly, Cheteshwar Pujara’s Wife Puja Pujara showed her haircutting skills while grooming an Indian Test specialist.
International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a fun video on their official Twitter handle in which Cheteshwar Pujara was seen taking a dig at his wife.
“Only once (looking at his post where Puja did his haircut). I have only tried this once, after that I never tried it. Still not up to the mark (laughs). I always like high standards for my hairstyle, it wasn’t bad but it could’ve been better. She tried her best (smiles),” Pujara said.

It was one of the memorable Test matches: Cheteshwar Pujara on Gabba win
In the same video of the International Cricket Council, Cheteshwar Pujara memorized what it meant to the team led by current Indian vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane to win the Gabba Test against Australia and retain the 2020/21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Recalling the moment and memories, he said:
“It was one of the best memorable Test matches and series I’ve been part of. We were struggling to get the best bowlers, but all the guys stood up — especially youngsters. Everyone was ready to take the challenge. The bowling unit was remarkable.”
Currently, the 33-year-old Pujara is part of the Indian team in the World Test Championship final against team New Zealand at The Rose Bowl, Southampton. Rain has washed 2 out of the 4 days match and the game was stopped many times due to the bad lighting conditions in Southampton.
Cheteshwar Pujara failed to impress everyone while batting in the first innings, scoring his first run in the 36th ball and getting out at the score of 8.
