Indian cricketer Yash Dayal, who represents Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL, has found himself in serious legal trouble after a woman from Ghaziabad filed a complaint accusing him of prolonged mental and physical exploitation.
The case, registered by Uttar Pradesh Police at the Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad, stems from allegations that Dayal deceived and mistreated the woman during a five-year-long relationship. She claimed that he led her on with the false promise of marriage, only to eventually distance himself, causing her severe emotional distress.
Complaint Reached UP CM’s Grievance Portal
The matter gained momentum after the woman escalated her complaint to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s grievance redressal platform, drawing public and administrative attention. In her complaint, the woman alleged that Dayal not only mentally harassed her but also physically assaulted her during the course of their relationship.
She claimed she was emotionally manipulated into believing that the relationship would lead to marriage. Despite her repeated efforts to address the issue privately, she said that Dayal continued to mistreat her, which led her to finally approach the authorities.
The formal First Information Report (FIR) was lodged under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), a provision that covers offenses related to cheating and misrepresentation. The police are now in the process of investigating the claims, verifying evidence, and recording statements. No public statement has yet been made by Yash Dayal or his legal team.

So far, Yash Dayal has remained silent regarding the accusations, and his cricketing team or representatives have not issued any official statement. The case has stirred discussions on social media, with fans and the public divided in their opinions. Some have called for a fair probe without drawing early conclusions, while others are demanding accountability, given the seriousness of the allegations.
