Wasim Jaffer, a former cricketer for India, has backed players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, Sanju Samson, and Jitesh Sharma for their West Indies tour.
The way the ICC World Test Championship final ended has many people wondering what the future holds for some of the Indian team’s seasoned players. Numerous young people have had their names suggested by former cricket players as the West Indies tour is currently being discussed.
Wasim Jaffer, a former India opener, believes Yashasvi Jaiswal should be seriously considered for the West Indies tour, both for the Test team and the T20I team. For the ODI and T20I teams, Jaffer also chose a few other players.
India’s cricket game will need to be fearless. Because the game is changing and India needs to adopt that strategy if they want to win trophies, Jaffer said in a chat on Sportskeeda that it is especially important to give chances to brave players in white-ball cricket.

Wasim Jaffer believes that when it comes to white-ball cricket, the BCCI selection committee ought to give the nod to players like Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, Sanju Samson, and even Jitesh Sharma.
“Yashasvi Jaiswal is again one of them in white-ball cricket, particularly T20 cricket, in my opinion. Rinku Singh has performed superbly,” he added.
“Jitesh Sharma – Rishabh Pant is not there right now. Jitesh Sharma, who can bat at No. 1, might be the person to take his place. 5 or No. 6. Sanju Samson could most likely add 50 overs. These names should be tried, in my opinion, by India,” Wasim Jaffer concluded.
Many people were impressed by the finishing skills of players like Rinku and Jitesh during the IPL 2023 season. While Samson has been in and out of the Indian team for a while now.
