The Indian cricket team’s star batter, Virat Kohli, was also caught in the middle of an issue in the Australian condition. A source quoted by 7News Melbourne said Kohli recently engaged in a foul-mouthed confrontation with Australian journalists. It was on Thursday when Kohli flew into Melbourne with his wife, Anushka Sharma, the famous Indian film actress.

Kohli could barely get out of the airport when he was immediately bombarded by Australian media with questions. However, it began to go downward when Kohli became irritated with the kind of questions being posed to him. One of the Indian batters was seen arguing with some reporters and the situation looked like could turn ugly.

Kohli’s reaction could have been instigated by the barrage of criticism that comes with touring Australia, criticism that the cricketing great is usually on the receiving end of. The event has ignited a new topic concerning the challenges that professionals undergo together with the invasion of the press on the privacy of celebrities.

Virat Kohli confronted an Australian reporter in Melbourne 

The third test at Gabba also ended in a draw and now Team India has moved to Melbourne for the Boxing Day test. Although the conflict began earlier because during some preparations before the match, Kohli argued with an Australian journalist. As reported by The West Australian, it was for this reason that Kohli was irked by the cameras being trained on his family. The India stalwart has been very vocal about the cameras to avoid from his kids—Vamika and Akaay.

‘With my kids, I need some privacy, yeah? You can’t film without asking me,” he was seen telling the reporter.

There are no laws against that under Australian law, which rose to the complication of filming celebrities in the public domain. Virat Kohli was not part of the team’s entourage when the team travelled from Brisbane to Melbourne.

The former Indian skipper was on a tour with his family during the trip on the eve of the fourth Test. However, the two Indian stars, Kohli and speed spearhead Jasprit Bumrah have been serving in isolation with their families on this tour.
