After Sachin Tendulkar, Yusuf Pathan Tests COVID-19 Positive

After Sachin Tendulkar, former Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan tested COVID positive just a few hours after Tendulkar reported the same. Tendulkar updated his status to the fans on Saturday morning at 10.16 am on Twitter. Meanwhile, Yusuf updated about him being affected by COVID in the evening on the same day. Both played for the Indian Legends in the recently concluded Road Safety World Series.

“I’ve tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. Post the confirmation, I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions and medication required. I would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest,” Yusuf wrote on Twitter.

 The senior cricketer also asked those who came in his contact to get themselves tested. A two-time World Cup winner, Yusuf had retired from international cricket before the resumption of the Road Safety Series.

Apart from winning two ICC titles with the Indian cricket team, Yusu g also won three IPL titles, one with Rajasthan Royals (2008) and two with Kolkata Knight Riders (2012, 2014).

Meanwhile, Sachin informed that none of his family members other than him had tested positive. He further said that he has isolated himself at his home in Mumbai. 

Tendulkar recently participated in the Road Safety World Series where he led the Indian Legends to the title. The fans were excited to see Sachin back on the field and embrace the game of cricket once again.

The Little Master did not disappoint his fans as well as he scored 233 runs in seven games with two fifty-plus scores. He scored 30 in the final against Sri Lankan Legends as India piled up 181/44 after their 20 overs.

The tournament was played to spread awareness about road safety measures and featured some of the biggest names of cricket like Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Brian Lara, Kevin Pietersen, Sanath Jayasuriya, Tilakaratne Dilshan, Jonty Rhodes to name a few.
