Kings XI Punjab batsman Nicholas Pooran has finally hit the strides after a couple of low scores to start off in IPL 2020. He was in his elements against Delhi Capitals as Punjab completed their third consecutive wins. It has earned him praise from all quarters including Yuvraj Singh, who resembles quite a lot like Pooran in terms of batting.

Chasing 165 runs, Kings XI Punjab were in a spot of bother losing their top-order quickly. But Nicholas Pooran and Glenn Maxwell steadied the ship with a timely partnership. Pooran chipped in with 29-ball 53 while Maxwell contributed 32 to put their side on line before Deepak Hooda and James Neesham took them home.

Yuvraj Singh also spoke highly of Pooran and said that with back to back wins KXIP is looking dangerous in the ongoing IPL.

So far, Nicholas Pooran has amassed 295 runs from 10 matches at an average of 36.87 with a strike-rate of over 180. He has also grabbed some stunning catches in IPL 2020. Kings XI Punjab will hope their superstar to keep up the good form in the remainder of the tournament as they look for a playoff berth.

KXIP will next take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on October 24 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
