Yuzvendra Chahal Meets His ‘Bro’ Kuldeep Yadav At NCA After Training

Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have been selected for the West Indies tour as part of the ODI squad.

The spin pair, besides being crucial to India’s white-ball cricket, are also close friends who openly exchange skills and expertise with each other.

Yuzvendra Chahal met up with his close friend and fellow cricketer Kuldeep Yadav after a training session at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

Chahal took to Twitter to share two photos of their interaction, which took place on June 29. Chahal and Yadav were once the pillars of India’s spin attack.

They played together during the 2019 Cricket World Cup and played a crucial role in helping the Indian team reach the tournament’s semifinals.

However, Ravindra Jadeja’s progress as an all-rounder has led the Indian team management to exclude either Chahal or Yadav from the playing XI in recent matches.

Although it is rare to see both Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in the Indian playing XI for the same match nowadays, the bond between the two spinners remains strong.

Chahal’s tweet featuring the pictures of their meeting received an enthusiastic response from fans.

The post garnered over 6,000 likes and 135 retweets, with many expressing their wish to see the “Kul-Cha” duo play together for India in the 2023 Cricket World Cup, which will be held on home soil.

The question on everyone’s mind is whether Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav will be part of the Indian team for the Cricket World Cup in 2023.

Both players are in contention for a spot in the squad for the upcoming away series against West Indies, as announced by the BCCI selection committee.

Alongside Chahal and Yadav, left-arm spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel are also included in the squad.

It appears that three out of these four spinners will secure a place in the final World Cup squad, while the remaining one will be named as a standby player.

It will be intriguing to see which spinners ultimately make the cut for the Cricket World Cup 2023.
