Team India cricketers Rohit Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal share a great bond and often pull each other’s leg on social media platforms. Chahal has earned himself the tag of the biggest prankster in the team and once again grabbed the headlines putting out a funny nickname of India’s limited-overs vice-captain.

Notably, Chahal and Rohit enjoy a great rapport. Over the years, the two have been very fond of each other and enjoy each other’s presence in the line-up. Recently, during a chat with Cricbuzz, Yuzvendra Chahal revealed a new nickname of India’s greatest hitter of the cricket ball at present.

Incidentally, Rohit Sharma is generally popular by the name  ‘Hitman’ or ‘Roh-Hit. However, this new name will certainly light up a few headlines.

“Ek hain senior cricketer, inhone Rohit Sharma ka naam likha tha a[ne phone pe ‘Rohita Sharma’. Toh wahan se phir jo unhone bataya, phir main tabse……..(There is one senior cricketer who had saved Rohit Sharma’s name in his phonebook as ‘Rohita’. So when he revealed the same to me since then I’ve been calling him as Rohita),” Chahal said.

Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal and Rohit Sharma were recently in action during the series against New Zealand. However, Rohit suffered an injury during the T20 leg of the tour and missed the ODI and Test series. The cricketer from Mumbai was also not a part of the three-match ODI series against South Africa.

With the current lockdown and Indian Premier League postponed amid the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the cricketers are all but waiting for the cricketing actions to resume.
