The Mumbai Indians have always had the luxury of quality bowlers in their ranks. IPL 2020 is no different as they have two of the best all-format bowlers in the world in Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult. Both speedsters along with their another new recruit James Pattinson can be a nightmare to face for any side when they are on song.
Zaheer Khan the Mumbai Indians ‘Director of Cricket’, was recently all praises for his gun fast bowling attack comprising Bumrah and Boult among many for IPL 2020. The former legendary fast bowler said that the deadly trio is experienced and have tasted success in all types of conditions.
Zaheer Khan praises Bumrah, Boult
Zaheer termed them as world-class bowlers who will be a threat to any opposition this IPL. Further, he acknowledged Bumrah’s unbelievable ability to be economical and pick wickets during death overs. Bumrah carriers the weight of the MI bowling attack during crunch situations in which he has shown his really mettle countless times.
”You have a lot of experience when you look at someone like Boult who has played so much of international cricket, has played in so many different conditions. That experience matters a lot. He’s a world-class bowler and so is Pattinson”, Zaheer said during an interview with Mumbai Indians.
”And Bumrah has been phenomenal in death overs and carries that weight of the backend of the innings on his shoulders which always provides great strength to the bowling unit,” he added.

Mumbai have a top-class death bowling attack
Meanwhile, Zaheer Khan further added that his job becomes easy when you have the luxury of top-class bowlers in your side. MI has different types of plans for each batter of different sides which they look to execute during matches.
“As far as death bowling is concerned, I think we have pretty good plans in place with regard to different opposition and different batters. It’s about going out there and having that freedom of expression which we believe when you have to go with the game and you have to be proactive”.
“About that, when you see the names which we are discussing, our job becomes easier because we know that these guys, they are experienced campaigners, can absorb the pressure in the middle and be proactive,” Khan added.
Furthermore, the defending champs will today face the Royal Challengers Bangalore in a blockbuster clash at Dubai. The Virat Kohli led RCB side will look to bounce back after an awful last match whereas MI will look to replicate their complete performance of the last match.
