The big day has finally arrived as the biggest T20 league will commence today at Abu Dhabi. A clash of the heavyweights awaits us as Mumbai Indians will take on the Chennai Super Kings. After the IPL auction, a few new faces have joined all the franchise that will be seen in IPL 2020.

Australian opening batsman Chris Lynn has shifted from Kolkata Knight Riders to the Mumbai Indians. Lynn was delighted to join the defending champs and soon after posted a tweet in which he hailed speedster Jasprit Bumrah.

Jasprit Bumrah And Chris Lynn Face-Off

“Great City, Quality Franchise, Flat wicket, Don’t have to play against @Jaspritbumrah93. Can’t wait for @IPL 2020,” he had tweeted.

The fast bowler was quick to respond and reminded the swashbuckling opener that he would still have to face him in the MI nets.

Bumrah welcomed Lynn in his style and wrote, “Haha, welcome to the team! @lynny50 You’re still going to have to face me in the nets. ?”.

After 10 months of wait, the two finally faced off against each other in the net session before their opening match. The MI franchise reminded everyone about the banter between the duo in December 2019 and posted a short clip. Here is the video posted by the franchise in which Bumrah has is seen bowling to Lynn.

Interestingly Lynn was happy to defend against Bumrah and decided to give respect to the fast bowler. Bumrah, on the other hand, was observed working on his variations as he delivered slower balls to his new teammate.

Meanwhile both the players will have a huge role to play for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020. So far under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the franchise has won the most 4 IPL titles and will be hoping to make it 5 in the UAE. They renew their classic rivalry against CSK in the season opener which is expected to be a mouth-watering clash.
