The batters scored five runs without an overthrow in a rare moment as the one-off Test between Zimbabwe and Ireland in Belfast came down to a tense climax. Ireland were chasing 158 for a famous win and had so far made 74 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 18 overs at the first session of Day Four.
In the second ball of the over, Andy McBrine made a cover drive on a good length delivery from Richard Ngarava resulting in five-run moment. Then Tendai Chatara was in pursuit of the ball towards the boundary, before he managed to pull it back into the field.
However, due to his chase speed, Chatara had no choice but to leap over the fence so as not to collide with him. Therefore, Irish batsmen scored five runs while their chase was fruitless meaning that Chatara had lost one for Zimbabwe costs.

Ireland secures a notable victory in a thrilling match against Zimbabwe
Ireland shocked Zimbabwe in the only Test match by winning with four wickets left. The match had it all from the start, as it fluctuated from one extreme to another throughout its initial day.
The bowlers justified this by bowling Zimbabwe out for 210 runs in their first innings after Ireland captain Andy Balbirnie won the toss and chose to field first. Ireland had a good start with a 71-run partnership but then they lost nine wickets to be reduced from 71 without loss to 203-9.
With the help of a vital 47-run final-wicket partnership, they managed to surpass Zimbabwe’s total and win the first innings by 40 runs. In the second innings, the African team had made 134 for 3 when they fell apart and were dismissed for a meager total of 197.
