Afghanistan is all set to play a three-match T20I series against Bangladesh at Dehradun, India. The matches will be played in the month of June on the dates 3,5 and 7 respectively.

Afghanistan has been one of the rising nations in the International arena for some time now. The squad will be looking forward to ticking their boxes in this series and try to clinch an honourable spot in the ICC T20I rankings.

“ACB is delighted to host Bangladesh for the T20I series in Dehradun in early June which will be a good opportunity for both sides to play competitive cricket,” Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) chairman Atif Mashal said in a statement.

It is to be noted that Afghanistan has a good exposure to the stadiums in India as they previously played matches at the stadium in Noida. Afghanistan will play this series a week before their International debut in a Test against India at Bengaluru.

Afghanistan cricket CEO Shafiq Stanikzai said selectors would pick from the pool of players currently taking part in a training camp in India.”These matches will be important for both sides to gain valuable points in the ICC rankings and the lead-up to the 2020 ICC World Twenty20,” Stanikzai said.

Rashid Khan, Nabi and Mujeeb ur Rehman are already a part of Indian Premier League and this experience will help them to perform better in the shortest format of the game.
