Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh‘s happiness knew no bounds after Chennai Super Kings made a resounding comeback in the IPL 2020 in Dubai on Sunday night. They beat Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets as the ‘Dad’s Army’ scripted a memorable comeback. Shane Watson (83) and Faf Du Plessis (87) scored 181 off just 106 balls with a total of 22 fours and four sixes shared between them. CSK have risen to number six in the points table after their commanding win. This was also the second-highest partnership for a team winning by 10 wickets in the IPL.

Meanwhile, old CSK pros Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh were elated after Chennai’s win over Punjab. The two senior players, who opted out of the tournament this year due to personal reasons expressed their happiness of seeing their team do well on Twitter. The duo praised the Watson-Du Plessis pair and the entire squad after they registered a memorable win.

‘Champions are back on track’ wrote Harbhajan on Twitter hailing the CSK openers for taking their team over the line.

Meanwhile, Suresh Raina wrote ‘And that’s the way to do it Superb Innings All my love to @chennaiipl. Great WIN, well played boys! congratulations & love all the way to Dubai”. Both were them were a part of the 2018 IPL squad when CSK went onto win their third IPL title under MS Dhoni.

CSK  to Terminate IPL Contracts With Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh

Meanwhile, as per latest reports in Insidesport, CSK will terminate IPL contracts of Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh. As per the IPL Auction guidelines in 2018, both Harbhajan & Raina had signed a 3-year deal with the CSK which was expiring with the 2020 season of IPL 2020.

Since the duo are not playing in this year’s IPL, CSK has decided to officially go ahead and terminate the contracts of both the players. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said that in that very same report that only players playing will be paid, which means whose who aren’t won’t be paid.

Ther termination of these two players also means that if there is no auction for next year’s IPL, both these players will not be a part of the tournament in 2021.
