When a 16-year-old steamed in at Brisbane against the likes of David Warner and Steve Smith, many thought Pakistan have produced another great fast bowler. He gained strides quickly claiming a five-wicket haul and a hat-trick. Recently, Naseem Shah revealed his dream wicket.
Since his much-debated debut against Australia, Naseem has come up the ranks quickly. He picked up a five-wicket haul in the Karachi Test against Sri Lanka to steer his side to the triumph. The youngster also started his 2020 with a bang as he became the youngest player to pick an international hat-trick. He achieved that feat against Bangladesh.
Naseem Shah reveals his dream wicket
Recently, Naseem Shah during a chat picked India’s Rohit Sharma’s wicket as his dream wicket. Praising the opener, the youngster said Rohit has all the shots in his kitty and can put away every delivery to the boundary.
“Rohit Sharma has the ability to play all types of deliveries, be it short ones or good length deliveries. His records speak for itself and picking his wicket would be a dream come true for me,” Naseem told Cricingif.
However, for that to happen, Naseem Shah will have to wait a bit longer as India is unlikely to play Pakistan anytime soon. Previously, the fast bowler had said that he wants to pick wickets of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Steve Smith for a Test hat-trick.
Meanwhile, Naseem Shah is currently in England gearing up for the Test series against England. He along with Shaheen Afridi will be keen to derail the English batting to win the Test series in England. Pakistan will play three Tests starting from August 5 followed the same number of T20Is. All the matches will be played in bio-secure environments amid COVID-19 outbreak.
