Hardik Pandya

One of India’s most impactful all-rounder at present – Hardik Pandya was also not included in the squad for the World Test Championship final followed by the subsequent Test series against England. Although they have Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel in the squad, a seaming all-rounder option would have been deadly in these conditions.

However, the only thing that went against Hardik was that the all-rounder is yet to resume bowling full-fledged. The flamboyant cricketer from Baroda underwent back surgery last year and since then has more or less played as a specialist batter. Pandya has bowled a couple of overs here and there but that was not enough to impress the selection committee.
